8-Day Crossing

The Canary Islands are part of a legend, that of Atlantis, the disappeared continent. In fact when we go into the forests of laurisilvia (or laurel jungle), which before the Tertiary age used to grow all over the Mediterranean and most of Europe, the visitor will have the feeling of walking in an enchanted place.

We suggest a hiking tour in these islands so as to enjoy, leisurely and quietly, such beautiful landscapes some of which have been declared National Parks. We will focus our tour on two of their islands: La Gomera and Tenerife.

La Gomera is one of the smallest islands in the Canary Islands, with a surprising human and natural richness. Its landscape is the result of its own culture. Generations of farmers, who fought to make the most of their limited cultivable soil, left us their terraces, a sort of staircases for giants, where they grow the land. In the Garajonay Park we will have the privilege of watching unique species.

The first thing that surprises the visitor to Tenerife is a spectacular volcanic landscape surrounded by warm beaches. We will walk down the spectacular Ravine of Masca, and we will sail back in a boat from which we will observe Los Gigantes. We will also see the sun rise from the emblematic peak of Teide (3,717m), the highest in the Atlantic and in the Spanish territory.

To complete all this, we will also enjoy the Canary gastronomy, and the kindness and hospitality of its people will make this tour one of the most special.
