MEDITERRANEAN FLORA HIKES IN THE
EMPORDÀ - GIRONA AREA
6 Days / 5 Nights with English, French or German speaking guide
Day 1: Hike through the valley of Bell-lloc in the heart of the Gavarres massif, the
largest extension of Mediterranean forestry in Catalunya.
Day 2: Hike through the Montgrí massif which is formed by older limestone than
the Pyrenees, where we will encounter spectacular Mediterranean flora.
Day 3: Hike through the Ardenya massif; we will start in Pedralta and arrive at the
Monastery of Santa Maria de Solius.
Day 4: Hike through the Natural Volcanic Park of La Garrotxa, from the “Fageda”
d´en Jordà all the way to the village of Santa Pau.
Day 5: Hike through the Natural Park of Cap de Creus wilh the final stage in
Cadaqués.
Day 6 : We will start our hike with a visit to the Botanical Gardens of Cap Roig, than
we will continue to the beach of La Fosca to observe the interesting sea cliff
flora and the dunes on the beach of Castell

- Accommodation at the hotel Canet**, in the lovely town of Castelló d'Empuries on
half board basis (5 nights)
- Transfers from Girona Airport to and from the hotel
- Hike tranfers
